The Advanced Manufacturing Training & Education Center is made possible by funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC)'s POWER initiative, which targets federal resources to communities affected by job losses in coal mining and related industries. The Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center also partnered with IACMI- The Composites Institute and federal, state and local leadership to make the center a reality.

With students beginning courses next week, participants and employers will choose from four training options: industry certifications in Machinist Technology/CNC, customized on-the-job training, fast-track programs for under-and unemployed individuals, and public courses.
